Do you enjoy helping people, answering questions and making a real difference from day one? Join our team as a Customer Service Advisor and play a vital role in supporting candidates on their journey to joining the British Army. Every interaction you have will help guide individuals through the recruitment process and provide them with the information and support they need to take their next step.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, based onsite at our office in Upavon, Wiltshire.

A Shift Pattern That Works for Everyone

Our team operates a rotating shift pattern across the following hours:

  • 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • 9:30am – 5:30pm
  • 11:00am – 7:00pm

Being office-based means you’ll benefit from hands‑on support, in‑person training, and the opportunity to build strong relationships with colleagues in a collaborative team environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Answering inbound calls from individuals interested in joining the British Army
  • Responding to candidate enquiries via online webchat
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records on our internal systems
  • Providing clear information about the recruitment process and next steps
  • Escalating issues or queries when appropriate
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Previous customer service experience, face‑to‑face or over the phone
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to capture information accurately
  • A patient, empathetic and professional approach

Desirable

  • Familiarity with army careers, would be an advantage
