Are you a qualified or aspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who can show initiative and enjoys working with children?

We are seeking a compassionate skilled and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers and leaders to help pupils achieve their full potential.

Hours for this role are 8.45–3.15pm, Monday to Friday.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver high-quality learning experiences, including leading whole class sessions during teacher PPA and absence cover where appropriate
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Deliver engaging and purposeful learning experiences across the primary age range
  • Support the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging learning activities
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt learning and meet the needs of all children
  • Promote confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours in children
  • Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its inclusive ethos
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Qualifications

Candidates should have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs or equivalent with a good pass including English and Maths, and/or NVQ Level 3 or above. We will prioritise candidates with experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.
