Qualified (or ready to be!):

  • You ideally have a Level 3 QCF qualification in residential childcare (or a relevant equivalent), or you’re willing to undertake it with our full support.
  • You can produce reports, maintain accurate records, and have good IT skills.
  • A driving licence is desirable, but we can be flexible.

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Shift Leader (officially a Children’s Residential Carer Officer Level 2) to join our dedicated team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the Shift
    • Leading with positive energy: run the shift, ensuring the home is a happy, safe, and vibrant place for our children and your team.
    • Building real relationships: connect with our young people, support them with their emotional and practical needs, and be a trusted adult in their lives.
    • Being a team champion: mentor new staff members, supervise colleagues, and lead on practice, ensuring everyone feels valued and part of the Albion Street family.
    • Making a difference: develop projects, chair professional meetings, and help our young people build the skills they need for independent living.
