The Role

As a Maintenance Team Member, you will play a key role in ensuring the hotel is safe, well‑maintained, and operating efficiently at all times. You will support the upkeep of the building, facilities, and equipment, helping to create a comfortable and seamless experience for our guests.

About You

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or similar role, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
  • A practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Good knowledge of basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
  • The ability to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • A flexible and reliable approach to working hours
  • Good communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. reporting issues, using maintenance systems)

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out day‑to‑day maintenance tasks across guest rooms and public areas
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and resolving issues efficiently
  • Conducting routine inspections to ensure the hotel is safe and well‑presented
  • Performing basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work
  • Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
  • Liaising with contractors when required
  • Assisting in maintaining stock levels of tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Contributing to a safe, clean, and well‑functioning environment for guests and team members
