About the Role

Herefordshire Community Wellbeing is actively seeking dynamic, self‑motivated, and professionally confident Social Workers to join our welcoming and supportive team. This role offers a fast‑paced and rewarding environment in Hereford City & Bromyard.

Contract & Location

Contract: PermanentLocation: Hereford City & BromyardHours: 37 hours

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £36,363 to £40,777 + £3,000 welcome payment (see guidance).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Care Act Assessments and develop person‑centred support plans
  • Manage Mental Capacity Assessments and Section 42 Enquiries
  • Apply a strength‑based approach to empower individuals and promote independence
  • Engage in CHC and statutory 117 work to ensure seamless support
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to provide holistic care
  • Participate in regular supervision and pursue opportunities to specialise

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England with a qualifying degree
  • Deep understanding of current legislation and guidance
  • Experience working with diverse adult populations, including those with physical and learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults
  • Drive to pursue additional qualifications such as Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor or Approved Mental Health Professional
  • Full, clean driving licence and readiness to travel across the county
