Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Shift Patterns: Shifts across 7 day working week.
Kitchen Opening hours – 0700-1730 Mon – Sun
Location: Winfield Hospital
Summary:
This role is based at Winfield Hospital, a leading private hospital on the outskirts of Gloucester. The hospital has three fully equipped laminar flow theatres with a six‑bed recovery, a dedicated and JAG accredited endoscopy unit, and twelve outpatient consulting rooms with associated examination and treatment facilities. Additional outpatient facilities include physiotherapy, pharmacy, audiology, radiology, ultrasound, MRI and CT.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and serve food across the hospital.
- Work flexibly across a 7‑day shift pattern, ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
- Maintain current food hygiene and safety regulations and ensure these standards are maintained in both preparation and service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Chef.
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
- A warm, considerate and empathetic approach.
- The ability to make decisions and use your own initiative.
- Strong communication skills.
- A flexible, positive attitude.
- Experience or understanding of the IDDSI framework (desirable, but not essential).
