Must have’s

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Garment Technologist or Product Developer
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit and product development
  • Experience creating technical specifications and managing tech packs
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience measuring garments, conducting fit sessions and managing sample approvals
  • Ability to manage critical paths and ensure key deadlines are met
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with suppliers, factories and internal teams

Nice to have’s

  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Understanding of factory audits and sustainable manufacturing practices
  • Experience sourcing fabrics and components
  • Interest in competitor analysis and product benchmarking

So, what will you be doing?

  • Supporting the development of high-quality products from concept through to production
  • Managing assigned product categories throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Creating and issuing technical packs, specifications and construction details
  • Advising on fabric selection, garment construction and production-friendly solutions
  • Monitoring sample development, fit approvals and factory communications
  • Measuring garments and providing technical comments within agreed timelines
  • Reviewing and approving testing, AQL and quality reports before shipment
  • Assessing product risks and coordinating wearer trials where required
  • Managing and maintaining pattern libraries and product information
  • Working closely with suppliers, merchandising and operations teams to keep production on track
  • Maintaining accurate critical path information and development records
  • Supporting product cost engineering to meet target price points
  • Providing sizing, fit and product information for marketing and customer-facing teams
  • Investigating product issues and driving improvements in quality and durability
  • Assisting with sourcing, sustainability initiatives and product research projects
  • Factory visits may be required to support product approvals and supplier relationships
  • Opportunity to attend trade shows and industry events for sourcing and product research
