Introduction
As an Apprentice Bricklayer you will assist qualified bricklayers while learning to construct and repair walls. The role will require you to mix mortar, lay bricks and blocks, maintain tools, adhere to safety procedures and develop practical skills through hands‑on training to become a qualified tradesperson.

Training Outcome
This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn a trade while gaining hands‑on experience on building sites. You will work alongside experienced tradespersons to develop the skills needed to become a qualified bricklayer. You will learn to assist and handle the preparation of materials and mortar for the laying of bricks and blocks, read and understand working drawings, maintain a clean and safe working environment for yourself and others, and construct a wide variety of work which will include cavity wall construction, dentil detail, corbel detail, arch detail, screen walling and chimney construction.

Course Information

Working Arrangements
- Working week: Monday through to Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm
- Expected duration: 2 years
