About the role:
justteachers is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward‑thinking primary school in Dereham to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher for a full‑time, long‑term Year 3 position starting in September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed practitioner who is passionate about delivering high‑quality teaching, fostering curiosity, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
You will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons that support progress across the curriculum. The successful candidate will create a positive classroom culture, build strong relationships with pupils, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Year 3 Classroom Teaching — Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Assessment & Progress Tracking — Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Classroom Management — Maintain a calm, positive, and purposeful learning environment
- Curriculum Delivery — Ensure high‑quality teaching across all core and foundation subjects
- Pastoral Support — Support pupils’ wellbeing, confidence, and social development
- Collaborative Working — Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and leadership teams
- Parent Communication — Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Safeguarding Commitment — Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times
Pre‑requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 3
- Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- A warm, engaging, and resilient approach
- Ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Two recent, relevant references
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
