The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Trainer in Children and Young People’s Residential Care to join our team on a 0.5 FTE basis. This role offers the opportunity to share your industry knowledge and expertise by delivering high-quality training and assessment to apprentices and learners within the residential childcare sector.
You’ll play a key role in supporting learners throughout their journey, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed in Children and Young People’s Residential Care settings while maintaining strong relationships with employers and colleagues.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Deliver engaging practical and theoretical training, assessment and coaching to learners across Children and Young People’s Residential Care programmes, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
- Conduct learner reviews, assessments and Individual Learning Plan (ILP) activities, working collaboratively with employers to monitor progress and ensure timely achievement.
- Create and adapt high-quality learning resources and training materials, including digital content, to meet curriculum and industry requirements.
- Provide effective feedback, monitor learner performance and contribute to continuous quality improvement activities that enhance student outcomes and programme effectiveness.
- Support curriculum delivery and employer engagement activities, including learner recruitment events, open days and collaborative working across College departments.
