Facilities Support Services Assistant – Cleaning, Catering & Portering

Job Summary

We are looking for two multi‑skilled staff members to join our Facilities Team at Weymouth Hospital, Littlemoor Health Centre and Portland Hospital. This part‑time role requires 23.5 hours per week with flexible shifts between 7am and 8pm to meet service demand and staff leave. Working hours may vary from short (4pm‑8pm) to longer (7am‑2pm) shifts.

Responsibilities

• Porter duties – receiving and unloading deliveries (stores, linen and catering) and supporting hospital operations.
• Cleaning – daily cleaning of clinical areas, toilets, bins and other sites to NHS cleaning standards according to the rota.
• Catering – assist with basic kitchen duties such as preparing fresh sandwiches, salads and other menu items. On‑site training is supplied.
• Vehicle delivery – where required, use the hospital vehicle to transport meals to nearby sites (full UK driving licence desired).

Qualifications

• Valid right to work in the UK, no visa sponsorship.
• Experience in cleaning, catering or porter work preferred but not essential.
• Desirable: full UK driving licence.
