Bank Chef

Role Overview

Bank Chef (casual 0hrs contract) – deliver hotel/restaurant standards without split shifts and long weeks in a hospital home setting. Work with the Head Chef to create nutritious, flavoursome, well‑balanced menus and tailor meals for residents.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Prepare fresh produce and cook high‑quality, wholesome dishes.
• Create a warm, efficient and fun kitchen environment.
• Work within budget and manage stock control.
• Complete regular audits.
• Assist in leading and motivating the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience in leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition.
• Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment.
• Good understanding of HACCP.
