SEND Teaching Assistant (Autism Support) – Coventry

About the role

justteachers are supporting a primary school in Coventry to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with Autism. This is a full-time role with an Immediate start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a dedicated SEND provision and works closely with external professionals to support pupils’ communication and sensory needs. Staff benefit from ongoing Autism-specific CPD and strong pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide structured 1:1 SEND support
• Support communication and sensory strategies
• Implement EHCP targets
• Promote independence and engagement

Pre-requisites

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
