Cover Supervisor – Leeds

About the role

We are looking for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work across a network of partner secondary schools in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working with young people and is committed to supporting high-quality learning in the classroom.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. The role offers flexible working patterns, from part-time to full-time, depending on your availability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and support students with their learning
• Build positive relationships with learners across different schools and year groups
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and progress
• Uphold safeguarding, professionalism and school policies at all times

Pre-requisites

• Previous UK school experience (essential)
• Strong classroom presence and confidence working with young people
• A genuine commitment to education and supporting student progress
• Adaptability, reliability and a proactive approach
• Ability to travel to partner schools across Leeds
