Family Support Worker

Location: Our client

Contract Length: Initially 3 months

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: £30.79 umbrella per hour (£24.21 PAYE exclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP

Candidate Responsibilities

• Providing practical and emotional support to families experiencing difficulties
• Assisting families to develop effective parenting strategies
• Coordinating with social services and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children
• Conducting home visits and assessments in line with organisational policies
• Supporting families in accessing community resources and services
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of support provided
• Promoting family well-being through targeted interventions and advice

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Family Support Worker or similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection
