Metal Finisher Location: Bradford Hourly Pay: £13.46 rising to £14.45 once fully trained Hours: Monday to Wednesday 07:00 to 17:00 and Thursday 07:00 to 16:30. Overtime on Friday paid at time and a half Contract: Ongoing temporary
About the Role
We’re looking for a Metal Finisher to support the finishing of fabricated metal components. This role is ideal for someone confident using hand and power tools and comfortable working in a fast‑paced engineering or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fettling, grinding, sanding, linishing, and deburring metal components
- Using a range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Preparing surfaces to required finish levels
- Working on fabricated assemblies, stainless steel, mild steel, and sheet metal
- Inspecting finished parts for quality and accuracy
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Supporting wider production teams where required
Skills and Experience
- Experience in metal finishing, fettling, grinding, or similar
- Confident using hand tools and power tools
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work
- Ability to follow instructions and work to set standards
- Positive, reliable, team‑focused approach
- Experience in fabrication or engineering environments
- Knowledge of linishing, polishing, or deburring techniques (desirable)
- Understanding of Health & Safety
