About you
- Level 2 Diploma in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development (training provided).
- Level 2 qualification in English (GCSE or equivalent).
- Certificate in First Aid advantageous (training provided).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: £15,435 per annum (or in accordance with the National Minimum Wage if applicable) for 37 hours per week, including evening work, early mornings and weekends.
Contract: Full‑time, fixed‑term until completion of the Apprenticeship Framework, including QCF (previously known as NVQ) and Essential Skills. The maximum duration for each QCF level is 70 weeks.
Pension: We contribute at least £10 for every £100 earned through the Local Government Pension Scheme or the Teacher’s Pension Scheme, with increases each year in line with inflation. Holiday: 28 days per year (rising to 32 after five years of service), plus up to five additional days during the College’s Christmas closure, plus eight public/bank holidays, for a total of up to 41 days of annual leave as an apprentice.
