Maternity Administration Assistant

We are looking for a Maternity Administration Assistant to join a well‑established team in the Delivery suite at Bournemouth Maternity. The role is on a permanent contract for 30 hours per week with shift work over a 4‑week rota – early (6 am–2 pm), late (2 pm–10 pm) and night (10 pm–6 am). The schedule includes two weekend shifts each month.
The role requires excellent administrative and clerical skills, good computer competence, strong organisational ability, accuracy, attention to detail, and the capacity to work efficiently in a busy environment with a constant flow of traffic.
Qualifications
- GCSE English & Maths (minimum grade C/4) or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role or administrative experience and/or qualification
- Good team worker, flexible and adaptable to change
- Experience of dealing with members of the public
- Ability to use own initiative when appropriate
Knowledge
- Maintain confidentiality
