- Job Title: Social Worker (Adult Social Care)
- Contract: Permanent
- Location: Hereford City & Bromyard
- Hours: 37 hours
- Salary: £36,363 to £40,777 + £3,000 welcome payment
- Closing Date: Tuesday 21 July 2026
Qualifications
- Registered Social Worker with Social Work England and holding a qualifying degree.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of current legislation and guidance.
- Experience with adult populations including those with physical and learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults.
- Drive to pursue further qualifications in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Care Act Assessments and person‑centred support planning.
- Perform Mental Capacity Assessments and Section 42 Enquiries.
- Apply a strengths‑based approach to empower individuals and champion independence.
- Engage in CHC and s117 work to ensure seamless support.
- Collaborate with external agencies to build partnerships.
- Participate in regular supervision and pursue professional development opportunities.
