About the role
We’re offering a Data Analyst (level 4) apprenticeship within our Energy Analysis Team as an Energy Analyst Apprentice.
In this apprenticeship role, you will work alongside experienced professionals, receiving expert training and support to develop your knowledge and skills. You will have the opportunity to build strong communication and stakeholder management skills alongside your technical development.
Job Requirements
- A genuine curiosity about energy, data and analytics, with a willingness to learn and develop within a professional environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and consistency when working with data and information.
- Comfortable working with data and numbers, with a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Good IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to manage own workload and priorities effectively, with a proactive and organised approach to tasks and responsibilities.
- GCSE in Maths and English (grade 4 or above).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships both digitally and in person.
- Purpose driven mindset.
- An open and approachable manner, backed up by high moral and ethical standards.
- Passion for social or environmental issues.
- Proactive attitude that brings drive, energy and passion to the role.
- The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and be a strong team player.

Job Responsibilities
As an Energy Analyst Apprentice within the Energy Management division at Optimised, you will begin developing your knowledge and skills in energy data management, analysis and reporting, working alongside an experienced team of energy professionals in a structured and supportive environment.
Reporting to the Energy Data Analysis Team Leader, you will support the team in monitoring, checking and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of energy data across client portfolios, whilst developing your understanding of how energy data is collected, validated and turned into meaningful insight for our clients.
The role offers broad exposure to energy data systems, client reporting and analytical processes, with the opportunity to develop practical skills in data quality management, report writing and client communication as your confidence and capability grows.
You will be expected to bring a strong attention to detail, a genuine curiosity about energy and data, and a proactive attitude to learning. In return, you will receive structured support, on‑the‑job development and the opportunity to grow within a team that plays a central role in how Optimised delivers value to its clients.
