Become a Driving Instructor nationwide with My Four Wheels and earn up to £50,000+ a year. We are a 5‑star rated driving school with 500 instructors across the UK, expanding rapidly and offering full training to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
Earning Potential
Lesson rates average around £38 per hour, supporting a strong income whether you work part‑time or full‑time. You decide your schedule—mornings, evenings, weekends or a full‑time diary.
Location and Travel
Most instructors teach within 30 minutes of home, typically covering 6–8 postcodes. This maximises teaching time and reduces travel.
Training and Support
After passing DVSA Part 2 you can apply for a trainee licence, allowing you to start teaching and earning while completing the final stage of qualification. Our new Training Academy provides a structured route through DVSA Parts1,2 and3, featuring:
- Flexible online learning for theory and preparation
- In‑car coaching to build driving and teaching ability
- Lesson plans, resources and ongoing support to help you succeed
We also support access to dual‑control cars through established providers, including new and nearly‑new models such as Ford Puma, Renault Clio, MG3 and Vauxhall Corsa, subject to availability.
Training Fees
All instructors pay for training. Training fees are reimbursed in full after you have worked with us for one year (details available on request).

Hold a full UK driving licence for at least three years. Submit your details, and our team will contact you to explain the training route, timescales and how quickly you can get started.
