About the role
Do you crave the thrill of the open road? Do you have a desire to deliver a daily dose of joy to your community? At Ocado Logistics we’re looking for drivers to join our Customer Service Team. You’ll steer your van, stock snacks, host parties, and serve dinners on time, bringing smiles to each customer – one delectable delivery at a time. Our advanced automated technology will pre‑plan routes and pre‑load your van, so you can focus on the drive.
Location and Training
Your base will be in Nottingham, with an option to start training and initial deliveries at our Dordon site between Aug4th and Aug22nd. By Aug25 all training and deliveries will transition to the brand‑new Nottingham site. Any additional travel costs incurred during this transition will be fully covered by Ocado Logistics.
Responsibilities
- Deliver groceries and other items to customers by following pre‑planned routes.
- Ensure van is stocked with snacks and prepared for prompt party and dinner deliveries.
- Maintain excellent customer communication and deliver joy in every interaction.
- Adhere to safety and company procedures while operating the van 05:00–00:00.
Requirements
- Full UK or EU driving licence.
- Minimum 12 months driving experience.
- Maximum 6 penalty points.
- No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
- Over 18 (required for alcohol deliveries).
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Hours & Pay
Contract type: Permanent. 40 hours per week (5 days out of 7, 8‑hour shifts), with AM and PM shifts possible from 05:00 to midnight. Pay: £13.66 per hour plus overtime at time and quarter, with paid breaks. The position is paid every 4 weeks (lunar pay).
