This SEMH Teaching Assistant role is ideal for:
- Experienced Teaching Assistants
- Youth Workers
- Residential Support Workers
- Psychology, Criminology or Education graduates
- Individuals with relevant voluntary or support work experience
The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Help students regulate their emotions, develop positive behaviours and engage confidently in learning.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence and resilience.
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists and external professionals to support individual learning plans.
- Assist with behaviour strategies and interventions that enable pupils to achieve their full potential.
