About the Role
You’ll be joining a specialist post‑16 SEND provision within a highly regarded further education college. This is a hands‑on, proactive role where you’ll support learners with MLD and mental health challenges to access the curriculum, develop confidence and life skills, and achieve their goals. Use your experience and initiative to create a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment. Work closely with teaching and therapy teams to tailor support and monitor progress. This role is ideal for an experienced TA who can adapt quickly, work independently, and contribute ideas from day one.
Why Join Us
Work in a purpose‑built SEND facility with modern, accessible spaces including sensory and creative learning zones. Join a “Good” Ofsted‑rated college praised for its inclusive ethos and excellent student support. Collaborate with a committed, skilled multidisciplinary team who share your passion for helping every learner thrive.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an experienced, confident TA who can take initiative and hit the ground running. You should have:
- Proven experience supporting learners with MLD, autism, or mental health needs (ideally post‑16).
- A calm, patient, and professional approach under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly with students and colleagues.
- A genuine commitment to promoting independence and inclusion.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, SEND, Youth Work, or Health & Social Care) are desirable but not essential for the right person with strong practical experience.
If you’re ready to bring your skills, compassion, and confidence to a setting where every day makes a difference — we’d love to hear from you.
