Job Overview
Agincare is seeking a chef/cook for a 0‑hour bank contract. The role supports residents’ well‑being through menu planning, cooking, and kitchen management in an environment rated Good by the Care Quality Commission.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the home manager and residents to plan menus and respond to dietary requests.
- Prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs, including modified food textures and allergy considerations.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene standards and manage stock to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Participate in themed days and events to showcase culinary skills and creativity.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 months on your right to work.
- Background experience in professional kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.
- Willingness to work on a 0‑hour (bank) contract.
