Groceries Delivery Driver – Flexible Evenings & Weekends

Overview

Ocado Logistics is seeking customer-facing Delivery Team Members who will deliver quality goods on time and provide an outstanding customer experience. No previous experience is required; a positive attitude and our training team will support you. You will undergo online licence checks and Right to Work checks, and a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the process. A driving licence is required to perform this role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-facing delivery team member, delivering groceries on time and with professionalism.
• Operate in all weather conditions and maintain a positive, helpful attitude with customers and team members.
• Follow company procedures for health, safety, and customer service during deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure a smooth delivery experience.
• Adhere to shift patterns that include evenings and weekends, as required.

Requirements

• Full UK or EU driving licence.
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence.
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
• Must be over 18 to handle alcohol products in some deliveries.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.

Working Patterns and Schedule

• Evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays; shifts may include 4 days out of 7, with 10-hour shifts after a training period.
• Shift times can start as early as 05:30 and finish as late as 00:00 (midnight). Rota is provided up to 13 weeks in advance.
• Pay is structured with base pay plus premiums and overtime opportunities to increase earnings.

Pay and Benefits

• Hourly pay rates: Monday to Saturday basic rate £13.28; Evening Premium £14.40; Sunday Day Premium £14.61; Sunday Evening Premium £15.84.
• Overtime rates: Day Shift £16.60; Evening Shift £17.72 (Monday to Saturday).
• Premiums and overtime available to boost average earnings; potentially up to £13.86 per hour with premiums.
