Anatomical Pathology Technician

The Network of Mortuaries at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire is looking for Anatomical Pathology Technicians (APT) to support our busy forensic department across three sites.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (international licence not accepted).
• Full driving licence with access to own transport desirable.
• Good communication and keyboard skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Network Mortuary Manager and Senior APTs in day‑to‑day operations of the Trust’s mortuaries.
• Perform a broad range of technical work activities ensuring efficient service delivery in line with Trust, Coroner’s and Department of Health regulations.
• Participate in the on‑call forensic service (including out of hours) and respond to hospital enquiries across all three sites.
• Maintain high standards of quality by conducting audits, formulating risk assessments/SOPs and investigating incidents, coordinating the team as required.
• Prepare and submit an immunisation and vaccination report.
