Overview
We are looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Multi‑Drop Delivery Driver to join our Transport team based in Gainsborough. Reporting to the Driver Team Managers and Fleet Transport Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate delivery of products to customers while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and vehicle compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver products to customers in line with company procedures and schedules.
- Maintain a high standard of driving, adhering to speed limits, road traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
- Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, including lights, brakes, fluid levels and general condition.
- Report any vehicle faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays promptly.
- Keep vehicles clean and presentable, both internally and externally.
- Ensure the vehicle is sufficiently fuelled for the day’s activities.
- Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
- Check all deliveries via the EPOD terminal and ensure all orders are loaded correctly.
- Collect customer returns, mail and delivery bins, ensuring their safe return to the branch.
- Handle damages and breakages in line with company procedures, including HazChem requirements where applicable.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
- Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Support the wider transport team and undertake additional duties as required.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven (aged 21 or over for insurance purposes).
- Willingness to keep Fleet Services updated on any changes to licence status, including endorsements or driving bans.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable
- Previous multi‑drop delivery driving experience.
- Route planning experience.
- Knowledge of delivery management systems and handheld devices.

Manual Handling Requirements
This role involves regular manual handling activities, including lifting, carrying and bending. Applicants must be able to safely carry out these duties as part of their day‑to‑day responsibilities.
