️ Care Home Chef – Edinburgh & Surrounding Areas
Pay Rate: £15-£20 per hour (DOE)
Location: Edinburgh & surroundings areas
Hours: Flexible shifts available (full-time, part-time, or temporary cover)
Are you a passionate chef who takes pride in creating nutritious, tasty meals that make a real difference to people’s lives? We’re looking for experienced Care Home Chefs to join our team, providing high-quality catering across care settings in Edinburgh and nearby areas.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and cook balanced, delicious meals in line with resident’s dietary needs and preferences
- Cater for a range of levelled diets and textured-modified meals
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times
- Manage kitchen stock, ordering, and record keeping
- Work collaboratively with care staff to support resident’s wellbeing through great food
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a chef in a care home or healthcare setting
- Knowledge and experience with levelled diets (IDDSI)
- A valid PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) certificate – essential
- Food Hygiene and relevant catering qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Food Safety)
- Reliability, compassion, and a genuine commitment to excellent care
