Job Description:

We’ve looking for an Unqualified Early Years Assistant to join Saltford Nursery, between Bristol and Bath. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives while building a long-term career in a supportive, well-established, and forward-thinking setting.

Salary up to £26,436.80 per annum (with additional benefits worth £4,742 per annum after one year’s service)

Saltford – split-site setting with Nursery and Pre-School

Full-time, Part-time or Flexible Working can be supported

You’ll support the delivery of high-quality care and education in a safe, engaging environment, helping each child develop through inspiring activities and nurturing relationships across age groups.

This is a friendly, well-resourced and stable nursery environment with a strong team culture and excellent local reputation. Staff retention is strong, reflecting the supportive leadership and positive working atmosphere across both the nursery and pre-school.

The setting offers a varied and rewarding role across two linked sites, giving you the opportunity to work with a wide age range and contribute to both early years education and school-based provision.

We invest in you as much as you invest in the children. You’ll benefit from structured training, mentoring from experienced leaders, and clear progression pathways into senior and management roles, helping you grow your career with confidence.

We offer full-time, part-time, and flexible working options designed to give you the balance you need; whether you’re building your career, managing commitments, or simply want more control over your schedule.

  • Build positive relationships with families and colleagues
  • Help maintain high standards of safeguarding and care

What we’re looking for:

  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • A team-focused, proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

  • Salary up to £26,436.80 per annum
  • Additional benefits worth £4,742 per annum after one year’s service
  • Pension & life assurance (subject to eligibility)
  • Funded Blue Light Card
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with up to 4 extra days at Christmas
  • An additional day to celebrate something personal to you (subject to eligibility)
  • Funded DBS Update Service
  • Access to digital GP and counselling services
  • Health and wellbeing support via the SPARK app
  • Ongoing training, mentoring, and career progression opportunities
  • Join a team where you’re valued, supported, and given the tools to thrive
