Senior Security Engineer

Location: Central London – on site 5 days per week.

Due to security clearance requirements candidates must be eligible for or currently hold SC or DV. Candidates must be sole UK national/British citizen and resided in the UK for 10 years and over.

The role:

At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has an openings for a Senior Security Engineer. We are looking for the following for successful candidate to join our expanding team.

Role responsibilities :

- n
- n Provide second and third level technical support on incidents and problems
nn
- n
- n Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality
nn
- n
- n Create, maintain, and utilise documentation
- n Requirements consulting, design, implementation and maintenance of security toolsets and integrations
n
nn
- n
- n Assist the Account Security Team with processes and policies
nn
n

Desirable Skills and Technologies :

- n
- n Solid knowledge and understanding of networking
- n Experience in the design, implementation and ongoing management of security toolsets and technologies within both on-premises and cloud environments
n

- n
- n Experience or knowledge of operating systems, PKI, anti-virus, firewalls, device and application control, privileged access management, vulnerability management, security monitoring
nn
- n
- n Comfortable with scripting eg Powershell, Bash
nn
- n
- n Good understanding of non-functional/quality requirements within security toolset designs
nn
- n
- n Strong awareness of governance, risk and compliance
- n Awareness and understanding of modern technology tools eg Git, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and their related security considerations
- n Ability to communicate key details of technical solutions to variety of stakeholders, including non-technical audiences
- n Ability to plan, design and demonstrate proof of concepts relating to a variety of security toolsets
