We're alwaysn looking to acquire new members – but to do that we need the best people to help andn that's why we're hiring!n The role and the team :n We are looking for a skilled Analytics Engineer to join our team and help build andn maintain robust data pipelines that support our analytics applications.n The Data Engineering team has recently undergone a technology transformation ton migrate from our legacy data warehouse to a brand-new data platform (Snowflake + dbtn + Argo Workflows + Kafka) to better enable the exciting needs of our data stakeholdersn (Data Science, Machine Learning and Business Intelligence, etc.).n Having built a strong technology foundation, we are now looking for ways to improve then value that we deliver to our data stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strongn background in data engineering, analytics and be proficient in designing, building, andn deploying scalable data pipelines.n Product analytics is the practice of using data to inform decision-making related to usern behaviour, product development and improvement. We have a culture of building and owning all the code that we use, and take pride in this.n This allows us to keep full control on what's going on and how we shape solutions.n Key responsibilities :n ● Design and implement robust data models (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema,n data vault).n ● Develop and maintain dimensional data models to support BI and reportingn requirements.n ● Develop and implement analytics solutions to track key performance metricsn ● Design and build data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes ofn structured and unstructured data from various sources.n ● Develop and maintain data quality checks and data validation processes.n ● Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and data visualisations ton communicate insights and trends effectively to stakeholders.n ● Build and maintain tooling and frameworks to automate data pipelines forn experimentation and ML modellingn ● Develop and maintain a deep understanding of product domains to ensuren relevant events are produced and new entities and processes are integratedn downstream in the Snowflake data platform modeln ● Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and provide timely resolution.n ● Work closely with product managers, data scientists, product analysts andn software engineers to identify analytical requirements.n Skills, experience and attitudes :n Must have:n ● Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a relatedn field.n ● 3+ years of experience in data/analytics engineering with a focus on building datan pipelines.n ● Proficiency in SQL and experience with one or more programming languages suchn as Python, Java.n ● Experience with modern cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake,n BigQuery, Redshift or similar.

● Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly AWS or GCP.n ● Experience with data warehousing, data modelling, and ETL development.n ● Strong analytical & communication skills and an understanding of what drives then performance of a product to reach the company's commercial goals.n ● Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Looker,n Streamlit or Power BI.n ● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.n Valuable skills:n ● Previous experience in similar analytics engineering roles with focus on productn analytics and data modelling is highly desirable.n ● Experience working with distributed event stores and stream-processing platformsn such as Kafka of Kinesis.n ● Experience working with batch processing frameworks, such as DBT, Argon Workflows, Apache Airflow, etc.n ● Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKSn ● Familiarity with Continuous Integration with GitHub Actionsn ● Familiarity with Test-Driven Development and XPn Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion :n At giffgaff we want to challenge the old way of doing things.
