Senior Audit Manager – Non Profit Sector – Cheltenham – Responsible for leading audit teams and managing client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate teams and manage multiple projects and assignments in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage a portfolio of external audit clients, delivering year‑round services and building strong client relationships.
- Ensure audit teams complete planned work within agreed budgets and timescales from planning to completion.
- Serve as the principal client contact for the year, delivering proactive service.
- Work to tight deadlines, taking responsibility for own work and multi‑tasking in an organized manner.
- Plan own work and client appointments effectively.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and Audit Committees/Boards.
- Direct, coach, and mentor audit teams to support engagement delivery.
- Engage proactively in business development activities, developing and maintaining a personal network.
- Participate in proposals and presentations for new work.
- Possibility to provide wider assurance services to clients.
- Participate in team and firm‑wide activities and training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Qualified ACA, ICAS or ACCA, or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
- Knowledge and experience of audits in the non‑profit sector.
- Strong people‑management skills, enabling support, coaching, and mentoring of junior colleagues.
