Overview
A Band 5 Podiatrist is needed to join our dedicated podiatry team, working primarily with medically high‑risk patients and those with complex podiatric needs. The role offers a broad range of specialist clinics, including nail surgery, biomechanics, and diabetes services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive podiatry care to patients with high medical and podiatric needs.
- Provide specialist clinic services such as nail surgery, biomechanics, and diabetes‑related podiatry care.
- Participate in rotations to maintain clinical competencies and support the AHP Preceptorship programme.
- Engage in rotations with Community Nursing teams and other clinical areas.
- Contribute to and attend CPD opportunities, including clinical supervision, protected time, in‑house training, and external sessions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to promote health and provide patient education.
Qualifications
- BSc‑qualified and HCPC‑registered podiatrist applying for Band 5.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of best practice and evidence‑based care.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and high‑quality patient care.
- Willingness to undertake rotations and participate in a structured preceptorship.
