About The Role

We invite an Electrical Associate Director to join our Cambridge team. The role involves leading large, complex projects, managing stakeholders, monitoring metrics, and creating new business opportunities. In this key position you will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professionals, fostering future opportunities.
  • Contribute to bid preparation.
  • Lead large‑scale schemes and coordinate all disciplines, acting as the main client point of contact.
  • Take ownership of delivering profitable projects.
  • Represent Hoare Lea at project meetings across all disciplines.
  • Develop and lead a high‑performing local team and participate in interviews.
  • Delegate, manage and review work produced by others.
  • Monitor project expenditures and report to senior management.
  • Regularly report cost and resource requirements to the management team.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you should:

  • Handle difficult situations constructively.
  • Hold a recognised chartered status in the industry.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and a solid understanding of other disciplines.
  • Be IT‑literate with a good grasp of relevant packages.
  • Have excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Be organised, planning‑focused, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Lead teams positively, supporting and motivating members.
  • Build client and professional relationships for future business growth.
