Reports To: Senior Leadership with Data responsibility

Job Purpose

To maintain the data management systems, provide integral support to academic functions, and contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the Academy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Academy data through SIMS (next generation) and ensure accurate student census on time in October, January and May.
  • Oversee student achievement, behaviour and attendance data via Go4Schools; analyze and report pupil performance to support continuous school improvement.
  • Support maintenance of the school timetable, including staff and in‑year student timetable changes, ensuring all staff and students have a timetable at the start of the academic year.
  • Administer and manage the school pupil reporting procedures – designing templates, ensuring data entry, producing reports, and handling supplementary documentation (letters, envelopes, explanatory notes) on Go4Schools.
  • Maintain the SIMS (next generation) database and student‑level data.
  • Provide training for SIMS (next generation) / Go4Schools as required.
  • Maintain staff user accounts in SIMS (next generation) and Go4Schools.
  • Produce data to support the Academy’s data review cycle and assist in setting up targets in Go4Schools.
  • Download data from Keys for Success or FFT (Fischer Family Trust) and oversee Markbook in Go4Schools.
  • Manage and coordinate the production of all pupil reports, including End of Key Stage, full reports and interim reports.
  • Carry out KS4 and KS5 DFE Checking Exercise (September) and KS4 DFE Checking Exercise (June).
  • Produce performance reports for Leadership and Staff.
  • Administer end‑of‑year Pastoral & Academic promotion, start‑of‑year processes on SIMS (next generation) and Go4Schools, and maintain Course Manager in SIMS.
  • Oversee Nova T, Options, Cover, Exams Organiser, Admissions and other associated duties.
  • Attend INSET sessions and participate in meetings as necessary and appropriate.
  • Provide invigilation support as and when required.
  • Ensure accurate production of the Academy’s census and the accuracy of student data across SIMS (next generation), Go4Schools and the Academy’s reporting system.
  • Participate in the planning of Open Evenings and assist the Exams Officer during busy exam times if required.
  • Perform any reasonable alterations as directed by the Headteacher, School Business Manager or SLT.
