Overview
An award‑winning software house based in Derby is looking for a Senior/Mid Java Developer with at least 5 years of experience. You will collaborate with other Java developers on design decisions and application requirements, reporting to the Technical Team Leader.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Java applications.
- Participate in design discussions and decisions.
- Implement functionality using JEE, J2EE, and related technologies.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Contribute to documentation and best practices.
- Assist in the deployment and monitoring of applications.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Java development experience.
- Proficiency in Java SE, JDK 7, and JEE/J2EE.
- Experience with Wildfly, JAX‑RS, CDI (Weld), EJB 3 Stateless Session Beans, JPA.
- Knowledge of RESTful services, XML, SOAP.
- Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, UNIX, Redmine, JUnit.
- Java certification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
