Senior Product Engineer / Technical Lead

Role Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

This is a senior, hands‑on engineering role that combines software development, cloud infrastructure, technical leadership, and architecture. You will work closely with the leadership team to shape the technical direction of the platform while remaining actively involved in development and delivery. The successful candidate will bring strong experience across modern application development, cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and platform architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across product development initiatives and contribute to architecture decisions and long‑term technical strategy.
  • Guide engineering best practice, coding standards, and development processes, and mentor and support developers across the engineering team.
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable product features and build modern applications using React and React Native.
  • Support the full lifecycle of product development from concept through to deployment, collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, and participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
  • Design and maintain cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and support containerised deployments using Docker.
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, and security; contribute to DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  • Support data architecture and platform design decisions, ensuring systems remain scalable, secure, and maintainable, and help shape the future architecture of the FHIR‑based platform.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with React and React Native
  • Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Docker, and cloud infrastructure expertise
  • Experience designing and building scalable software solutions with deep architectural knowledge
  • Support for CI/CD and DevOps environments
  • Mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership
  • Proficiency with AI‑augmented development tools such as Copilot and Cursor
  • Desirable: Experience within healthcare technology or regulated environments, SaaS or product‑based platforms, data architecture, and exposure to FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD10.

What We Offer

  • 35‑hour week with core operating hours Monday–Thursday 9:30–4, flexible work and afternoon Fridays off.
