We have a great opportunity for an ambitious hands‑on Team Leader or Lead Tester with strong experience in manual and automated software testing practices as well as project or team leadership and management. We are looking for established Software Testers with management experience who enjoy getting their hands dirty, leading teams and projects and are passionate about all things testing related. Our client is an innovative software house creating slick industry‑specific applications and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project test team’s activities.
- Work closely with test colleagues, development manager, stakeholders, business analysts and project managers.
- Perform hands‑on testing for projects.
Required Experience and Skills
- 7+ years of experience with manual software testing tools and the SDLC.
- Experience leading and managing projects or test teams.
- ISTQB or ISEB qualification.
- Automated testing and framework implementation is a must.
- Experience leading a team with duties such as well‑being, hiring, delegation and more.
This is an initial 3‑month contract with the likelihood to extend to 12+ months. Day rate on offer is £400‑450/day dependant on experience.
Location: Near Birmingham in the West Midlands; commutable from surrounding areas such as Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Halesowen, Wallsall, Kidderminster and most places in the West Midlands. Candidates of all ages and backgrounds will be considered for this role.
