The successful Candidate will be directly supporting the Structures Director and will take a lead role in the Structural Engineering Team. It is essential that you are a Structural Engineer with the ability and desire to lead projects, as this will play a key part in the role of Principal or Associate Engineer. MyClient will fully support you in your development across a range of projects, sectors and Clients.
Role Requirements
- Masters in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar educational background)
- Chartered with MIStructE or MICE (or relevant institution)
- Recent structural engineering, consultancy led experience
- Prior experience of working within the Midlands market is ideal as it will give you knowledge and understanding of the local market and projects
Key Duties / Responsibilities

- Technical ownership and responsibility of structural calculations, drawings, reports and structural design documents produced by yourself, or coordinating and reviewing work completed by others
- Analysis of technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposals and procedures, and devising new approaches / solutions
- Strong building appraisal and report writing skills
- Support Team Members in their own technical development
- Attend site visits to review projects and the construction process
- Present and discuss technical solutions
- Develop fee proposals and project cost estimates
- Follow and contribute to the Business’s high standards of project delivery, adding value to schemes they deliver
