The UECSolutions team is looking for an experienced Project Support Officer, ideally with operational experience and/or knowledge of the Directory of Services to join the Yorkshire DoS Team. Training will be provided.
This role is based at the Scarsdale Hospital and may be part of a service transfer within the next financial year. We offer hybrid working – a mix of office and home.
Main duties of the job
- Support the management of services within the DoS ensuring they accurately reflect service provision.
- Contribute to the delivery of national mandates for urgent and emergency care.
- Support subject‑matter experts to liaise with stakeholders on the function and management of the DoS.
- Support testing of new functionality and releases to ensure accurate delivery of the service provision.
- Work collaboratively with ICBs, identifying areas of good practice to roll out across the region.
- Analyse data using agreed tools to identify changes or additions to place‑based provision.
- Provide support to DoS Leads and ICB Clinical colleagues in agreeing the sign‑off of national NHS Pathways releases, ensuring coverage for all patients.
Job responsibilities
1. JOB PURPOSE
Provide a project support function to core DoS project teams in the delivery of a portfolio of NECS DoS projects through the full project life cycle. Apply effective configuration management to project libraries, ensure PMO processes are applied, and provide a quality assurance function over project products and documentation.
2. DIMENSIONS
Support the CSO PMO and appropriate NECS managers in the management of projects using the NECS software system and the project management approach to service delivery.
3. ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain detailed documentation showing progress, problems and resolutions.
- Support change management process and procedures as required.
- Ensure friendly, courteous and effective communication with customers.
- Investigate and resolve issues using established techniques and available resources.
- Develop and maintain operational standards and procedures.
- Assist on project benefits planning and monitoring.
- Assist with development and implementation of the project(s) communication strategy, including production and distribution of reports and newsletters, and administrative maintenance of the project(s) web‑site as appropriate.
- Assist Project Managers in the production of Highlight Reports and other key deliverables.
- Ensure all core project logs are kept up to date: risk, issue and lessons learned logs.
- Review project documents to ensure they are in line with the service standards.
- Undertake research related to the planning of a project or delivery of project deliverables.
4. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: CSO PMO team, CSO Directorate teams, other NECS teams.
External: CCG staff and other customers as appropriate, NHSE.

Experience

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate or equivalent.
Circumstances
- Ability to undertake duties subject to reasonable adjustments under the DDA.
- Requirement to travel between numerous NECS/CCG buildings.
- Able to meet NHS standards of attendance.
