About the Opportunity
At Amentum we’re on a mission to solve some of the most significant challenges in science, security, and sustainability. We’re currently recruiting an experienced Project Manager (Civils) to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation in the UK. This role is based at Sizewell B Power Station and involves working with a client‑led team across our UK network.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable to the client PPM for the successful delivery of all aspects of assigned projects.
- Set the project execution strategy in agreement with the client PPM and lead a cross‑functional project team to deliver projects safely in line with company policies, procedures and agreed baseline.
- Report to the business Operations Manager while being accountable for project delivery directly to the client.
- Based at EDF Sizewell B Power Station with occasional travel to other UK sites.
- Operate within highly regulated environments with a strong safety culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree educated, ideally in engineering or a related subject.
- Preferred: Chartered or APMP formal project management qualification (or equivalent).
- Extensive knowledge of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction, commissioning and commercial contracting.
- Demonstrated understanding of Safety Cases, Health & Safety/Environmental legislation including CDM.
- Solid experience managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, across complex multidisciplinary portfolios, and leading integrated project teams.
- Proficiency in estimating, cost control, planning, business‑case preparation, sanction/funding papers and commercial awareness.
- Advanced utilisation of reporting tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (estimating, scheduling, programming, risk, and Earned Value).
- High‑level analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience at Power Stations and/or Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred.
