Role Overview

The Regeneration Manager is based in the Housing Delivery team within the Regeneration service area, in the City Development Directorate. The new role will focus on identifying and bringing forward challenging housing sites, both in the private and public sector, for development. The manager will facilitate the delivery of housing‑led urban regeneration projects, working closely with various stakeholders to drive forward schemes that will have a positive impact on our communities. The role will develop a future pipeline of opportunities, unlock stalled sites and support the implementation of a programme to deliver residential, mixed‑use and public‑realm schemes, and create new regeneration opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess challenging housing and regeneration sites.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of regeneration opportunities.
  • Facilitate the delivery of housing‑led urban regeneration projects.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including public, private, community and government partners.
  • Support the implementation of residential, mixed‑use and public‑realm development programmes.
  • Engage in land transactions and site unlocking activities.

Qualifications

  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, RTPI, CIH, CFA, ACA, CIPFA).
  • Experience in delivery of housing‑led projects and programmes.
  • Strong track record of managing complex and challenging projects and programmes with multiple or diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with large and complex organisations and manage political, social and commercial project sensitivities.
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
