Responsibilities

• Database and query performance tuning and optimisation
• Write Transact-SQL stored procedures
• Day-to-day support and administration of SQL and data warehousing environments
• Data cleansing and correction work, performance tuning, capacity planning
• Archiving, backup and restore best practices including security
• Assist the wider IT/IS division with complex database queries
• Contribute to product improvements, ease of use, reliability and reducing support levels

Qualifications and Skills

• Experienced SQL Server DBA, preferably with SQL Server 2012 – 2016
• Strong knowledge of SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
• Experience with MongoDB is preferred; training will be provided
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with business stakeholders
• Focus on delivery, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of an on‑call team
