Python Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 – 74,000 per year

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Python and a web development framework such as Django, plus JavaScript or TypeScript, ideally in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong understanding of core software engineering principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and domain knowledge.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Exposure to frameworks such as React, Node.js, Terraform, Celery, or containerisation.
• Understanding of database schema design and query optimisation.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, cloud‑native services, or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Join our delivery team as a Mid‑Level Software Engineer and contribute to the implementation of high‑quality software.
• Collaborate closely with Senior Engineers, Product, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, Principal Engineers, and Architects.
• Focus on solid engineering execution, problem‑solving, collaboration, and building deeper technical capability.
• Work with increasing autonomy over time as you develop in the role.
