Principal Software Engineer

Salary: £75,000 – 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with strong experience in building production systems in Node.js and TypeScript.
• We need frontend capability with React and Next.js.
• We expect cloud experience with Azure or AWS.
• We value fluency with modern AI coding tools.
• We require strong technical leadership and architectural design/decision-making skills.
• We want experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and testing.
• We are seeking an experienced, highly proficient developer with excellent backend skills.
• We need someone comfortable working directly with senior leadership and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

Responsibilities:

• We are rebuilding an entire platform and need you to play a key role in that effort.
• You will design services, data flows, and integrations.
• You will contribute hands‑on development across a TypeScript‑focused stack.
• You will provide technical leadership alongside senior leadership.
• You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• You will help make architectural decisions and guide technical direction.
