IT Operations Engineer
Contract: PermanentHours: Full‑Time 35 hours per weekSalary: £41,543 p/a (starting salary), plus excellent benefits packageLocation: London, Farringdon, minimum of 4 days per week in the office, with occasional out‑of‑hours support required.
Role
As our client’s IT Operations Engineer, you will play a key practical role in delivering high‑quality technical support, maintaining and improving the IT environment, and acting as an escalation point for operational issues across devices, identity, networks, cloud services and security platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality technical support to staff.
- Maintain and improve the IT environment.
- Act as escalation point for operational issues across devices, identity, networks, cloud services and security platforms.
Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams Telephony)
- Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Defender
- Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, backup & recovery)
- Core networking principles and cybersecurity best practices
- Troubleshooting, organisation and communication skills
- Security‑first mindset with awareness of least privilege and conditional access
Additional Experience
- Knowledge and experience in internal IT within a professional body or charity would be advantageous.
