Remote Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead Go AWS

Salary: £40,000 – 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Commercial experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead
• Deep understanding of Go and backend systems architecture
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and DevOps principles
• Experience mentoring developers and leading small teams
• Understanding of frontend/backend collaboration, with React experience a plus
• A mindset focused on quality, performance, and maintainability
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable backend services using Go
• Leading technical direction, code quality, and performance improvements
• Building secure, cloud-native infrastructure on AWS
• Collaborating with frontend engineers using React for full-stack feature delivery
• Mentoring engineers and supporting their development
• Driving engineering best practices and contributing to team rituals
