Requirements

• Strong React expertise with hands‑on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience building accessible, testable, and scalable user interfaces.
• Strong test‑first mindset (TDD) and confidence writing automated tests.
• Experience with JestJS and modern frontend testing practices.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and tooling such as axe‑core.
• Experience operating at a senior level, including technical ownership of solutions.
• Experience coaching and mentoring other engineers.
• Experience contributing to architectural and technical direction.
• Desirable: backend development with Java / Quarkus.
• Desirable: working with REST APIs and PostgreSQL.
• Desirable: DevOps exposure across CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Work within cross-functional feature teams delivering front-end led capabilities for the Data Marketplace.
• Build accessible, high-quality, and well-tested user interfaces on a cloud-native platform running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Take strong technical ownership of frontend delivery.
• Contribute to technical direction.
• Support other engineers within the team.
• Collaborate within a hybrid work model, attending onsite in Bristol two days per week.
