DV Cleared Software Engineer (Python)

Overview

We are recruiting for experienced Software Engineers to join a confidential government programme delivering cutting-edge intelligence capabilities within a highly secure environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll contribute to the design, development and deployment of mission-critical software solutions within secure, air-gapped environments. Due to the nature of the work, all development is carried out on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software applications using Python.
• Build and deploy applications within secure air-gapped environments.
• Develop and integrate APIs and microservices.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using tools such as Prefect, Airflow or similar.
• Configure and integrate workflow tooling, including Jira.
• Work with a range of database and storage technologies to support scalable, secure solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial Python development experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in secure or air-gapped environments.
• API and microservices development experience.
• Experience with Prefect, Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience configuring and integrating Jira or equivalent tooling.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
  • SQL
  • Elasticsearch
  • MongoDB
  • Cassandra/DSE
  • Redis
